Dead Is Just A Rumor and Good News : )

WHOA! I haven't been on forever! Well, I have some good news. I'm gonna blog more now! I kinda gave up on Camp NaNoWriMo, so I'm here! Boy did I miss you guys! I hope you guys didn't give up on me! So here I am, and I finished Dead Is Just A Rumor by Marlene Perez, and I have to admit, it was pretty good!
As the creepy little town of Nightshade prepares to celebrate its two hundredth anniversary — on Halloween, of course — many of its paranormal residents are receiving mysterious blackmail letters. Psychic teen Daisy Giordano and her sisters set out to find who is behind the threats. But launching an investigation isn’t easy for Daisy with her overprotective father watching her every move. Though she’s happy to have him back after the years he spent being held captive by an anti-paranormal group called the Scourge, Dad is having a difficult time adjusting to home life — and the fact that his little girl is now a senior in high school. He even disapproves of Daisy’s boyfriend, Ryan.
Ryan, meanwhile, to Daisy’s dismay, has been considering some faraway colleges thanks to the advice of Nightshade High’s new guidance counselor. Can their relationship take the strain?
And Daisy’s got even more on her plate: A talented amateur cook, she has won cooking lessons with celebrity chef Circe Silvertongue. After nosing around (with a little help from Circe’s pet pig), Daisy begins to suspect that the temperamental chef has got more secrets than just her ingredients . . .
Well, this book was a lot better than the past ones! I mean, not that the other ones weren't good enough! But yeah, this book was really good. It was witty, funny, unexpected, and full of suspense. And, the return of Daisy's dad was a pretty good addition to the characters, added a little more conflict. Daisy was just as smart as before, and solved a good mystery really well. I loved how at the end of the book, everything was wrapped up nicely, and I wasn't confused about anything. The plot was amazing as always, and I was never bored. I took page after page with a smile and enjoyed every moment of the book. I'm really excited for the next book! Overall, good book!

Camp NaNoWriMo

Hi all, I've got some news. I've decided to do Camp NaNoWriMo, and write another novel, and with that, I'm going to be very busy. I'm trying to really make this novel good and edit it and everything. So you could understand that I might not have much time to blog. I've actually kind of wanted to stop blogging, especially since I'm going to high school and I need to spend my time on school and work and tests and stuff. So this is me saying goodbye for a while, I will get on occasionally, maybe post a review or two, but don't expect much. I really don't want to but at the same time I do. You viewers have been great! I enjoyed reading your comments and seeing my blog grow in followers. I hope to blog again soon. I hope I didn't let you guys down or anything, I will try to get on sometimes! Thanks for everything!

Follow The Owl

Hey guys! How's it going?! Sorry I don't have a review up. But I've been really lazy and haven't had time to put one in. But I have a question for you guys! Did anyone listen to JK Rowling's big announcement the other week? Well, if you didn't, it was about a website called Pottermore, which opens in October. In JK Rowling's video, she said a few could get in early, if you "follow the owl". I've been looking all over the internet for owls that are related to Harry Potter, but I can't seem to find anything! Have you guys figured this out yet? What's your thoughts on this, follow the owl thing? Comment! Tell me what you think!

Deadly Little Games

Hello all, unfortunately, I have to say, I just finished Deadly Little Games, and I did not like it... Shocking, right? Here's the review, where I'll tell you about exactly what I didn't like.

Camelia and Ben have discovered a powerful bond: They both possess the power of psychometry, the ability to sense things through touch. For Ben, the gift is a frightening liability. When he senses a strong threat or betrayal, he risks losing control and hurting people. Camelia's gift is more mysterious. When she works with clay, her hands sculpt messages her mind doesn't yet comprehend.
Before either teen has a chance to fully grasp these abilities, an unresolved family tragedy resurfaces in Camelia's life, irrevocably changing everything she cares about...
Ok, first of all, I'm getting really annoyed with both Ben and Camelia. In every single chapter it was a different story. First they were together, next they needed some time, then they were together again, and then they needed some time. Seriously, MAKE UP YOUR MINDS ALREADY! It was really annoying. Second, the plot was the exact same as the past two books. It's like everything goes in the same order. I had to stop myself from just skipping to the last page to see who the stalker was, because I was honestly bored. Laure Faria Stolarz failed to wow me as she did in her past two books, and I think it's just the repetition. Also, the ending left me completely and utterly mad, I am very mad at Camelia right now. But that's beside the point. The book wasn't exciting, at least, not too much. The first two books were great, but now it's just getting boring. I already know what's going to happen. Well, kind of. Camelia and Ben, like I said before, can't make up their minds about their relationship and that's what's annoying me the most. I just didn't get this book at all, I felt like there was a lot of things Stolarz could have left out and a lot of things she could have included. So overall, not that great of a read for me.

So I got bored, and I decided to play on my Wii. And the cool thing is, I'm writing this post from my Wii right now!!! Isn't that awesome?? Yeah, it is.us Anyways, I'll have a review up soon for Deadly Little Games soon. But until then, have a good day and read some books! Bye!

Unearthly

Oh my goodness, I never thought I'd read a book as good as Delirium, but here I am, falling in love with a book. Unearthly by Cynthia Hand was the greatest book I've read in a while. So before I start describing how much I love it, let's get to the summary of the book.

In the beginning, there's a boy standing in the trees . . . .

Once again, I have to say, oh my goodness. I was really not expecting this book to be this good! But it was wayyyy over my expectations. How many times do I have to say I loved this book?!?! Ok, first of all, Tucker, oh my gosh, Tucker was THE MOST interesting guy I have ever read about. He's like, PERFECT! And then there's Christian, who, I have to say, wasn't who I thought he was. (If you've read the book you'll get what I mean.)  From the very first sentence of the book, I was hooked. I couldn't set it down, I read for almost 3 hours straight, not willing to put it down, until I finished it. That's how good it was. Here's something that's gonna sound kinda weird, Cynthia Hand did such a good job at describing the atmosphere and keeping us interested, that I almost forgot I was reading a book. It felt like I was really there, I wasn't aware of anything around me. Just me and the world of Wyoming in the book. I can't even explain how good this book was! I was NEVER, EVER, bored. EVER. Did I make that clear enough? And even though I was a little shady about reading another angel book, this book is WAY BETTER than it sounds. So don't look at the cover, don't read the summary, just pick up Unearthly and read it! The ending was really really good too, even though the last sentence kind of confused me, but other than that it resolved everything without leaving me hanging and it was just perfect. I have nothing else to say other than, READ UNEARTHLY!

Matched

Hey, sorry I didn't have a review up sooner but my computer wasn't working and I couldn't post anything. But here I am now! Haha. So... I got around to finishing Matched by Ally Condie, and unfortunately I didn't fall in love like I thought I would, but still, it was pretty good.

Cassia has always trusted the Society to make the right choices for her: what to read, what to watch, what to believe. So when Xander's face appears on-screen at her Matching ceremony, Cassia knows he is her ideal mate . . . until she sees Ky Markham's face flash for an instant before the screen fades to black. The Society tells her it's a glitch, a rare malfunction, and that she should focus on the happy life she's destined to lead with Xander. But Cassia can't stop thinking about Ky, and as they slowly fall in love, Cassia begins to doubt the Society's infallibility and is faced with an impossible choice: between Xander and Ky, between the only life she's known and a path that no one else has dared to follow.
I was really expecting a lot from this book, maybe because most dystopian books I've read are so good. They have such great and exciting plot lines, which this book really seemed to lack. All I got from this book was a love story, which don't get me wrong, was great, but I was really looking for more excitement with rebelling against the government. But I'm sure that will happen in the rest of the series. Cassia, had so much character development, so I applaud Ally Condie for that. She was really a different person at the end of the book. I found myself skimming through most of the book, unfortunately, I kept looking for an exciting part and couldn't find one. I have to say though, what happened at the end was pretty shocking, and the other thing was sad too. I won't say what it was. The book was really well written though, it was beautiful, so it was still pretty good and I'm going to read the rest of the series soon. So even though it was a tad boring, you should still read it. By the way, I'm not going to rate the status of a book anymore, just the stars.

Deadly Little Lies

Hi there, Saba here. I just finished Deadly Little Lies, by Laurie Fauria Stolarz, the second book of the Touch books and I really liked it! Then again, isn't that what I say about all books??? Anyways, here's your review and summary of the book. (I really need to stop using the word, anyways.)

Last fall, sixteen-year-old Camelia fell for Ben, the mysterious new boy at school who turned out to have a very mysterious gift--pyschometry, the ability to sense the future through touch. But just as Camelia and Ben's romance began to heat up, he abruptly left town. Brokenhearted, Camelia has spent the last few months studying everything she can about psychometry, and experiencing her own strange brushes with premonition. Camelia wonders if Ben's abilities have somehow rubbed off on her. Can the power of psychometry be transferred?
Even once Ben returns to school, Camelia can't get close enough to share her secret with him. Despite the romantic tension between them, Ben remains aloof, avoiding contact. Then when an unexpected kiss leads to a frightening argument, Camelia makes the painful decision to let Ben go and move on. Adam, the hot new guy at work, seems good for her in ways Ben wasn't. Adam is easygoing, and seems to really care about her.
But when Camelia and Adam start dating, a surprising love triangle results. A chilling sequence of events upturns secrets from Ben's past--and Adam's. Someone is lying, and it’s up to Camelia to figure out who—before it’s too late.
So I've decided to be a little more picky about my book review star giving statuses, (if that makes any sense), so before I even get to the review, I'm gonna say this book gets a 4/5 stars, because only mind blowing, beautiful, amazing, heart-warming books that I ABSOLUTELY love, deserve a 5 star, soooo ya.
Anyways, (darn it I said it again!), my guess for who the stalker was in this book was way way off, well, sort of. But off all the same. Camelia was an interesting character, sometimes annoying with the choices she made, but still a good character. I guess her mistakes made her seem more real. The book was so exciting though, I have to say! I couldn't set it down. It was kind of scary at parts, which I loved, because it made it so much more real when I was sitting in the dark in the middle of the night reading it. And at other parts, it was so funny, because Cam and her friends were totally hilarious at times. I think the book was really well thought out, I could never write anything that made the pieces fall together as easy as that. That's some talented writing right there. Mostly, I was never bored with the book, which is good, although I did find some errors in the book, just some mistakes in editing, no biggie. The ending really surprised me, I didn't think that that certain person would be the stalker. Overall, the book was exciting, funny, scary, and pretty much an amazing read. You gotta read it!
