Exciting Books

Everyone has those books that they're dying to read. So here I am, telling you about the books that I absolutely cannot wait for. They all don't come out until 2012, which is sad really, but one of them is on NetGalley!!! Eeek!
HALLOWED!!!!! AHHH! I'm sooo excited for this one, especially since it's the sequel to Unearthly which was AH-MAZING. <3. Must I say, TUCKERRRR!!!! <3
INSURGENT!!!!! Haha, I think I'm basically excited for all of these books. Divergent was a really awesome, beautiful, intriguing book that I was actually sad when I finished it. I'm hoping Insurgent will be even better.
And I saved the best for last. Remember Delirium? The most awesome book in the world? The one I gave like 50 stars to? Well, here's the next book in the series. I think I've literally entered every single ARC contest for this one, I'M DYING TO READ IT!!! Oh, and if you haven't read Delirium yet, shame on you.

Gimme a Call

Ugh. I really need to get out of this habit of getting reviews in late. I totally forgot I'd even read this book! Well, better late than never, right? First, I'd like to say that I'm so happy that Thanksgiving break is coming up. I'm tired of school and excited to sit around that dinner table on Thursday. Anyways, back to the book. I just read Gimme a Call by Sarah Mlynowski. It was a nice, fun read that I think everyone should read.
Devi's life isn't turning out at all like she wanted. She wasted the past three years going out with Bryan—cute, adorable, break-your-heart Bryan. Devi let her friendships fade, blew off studying, didn't join any clubs . . . and now that Bryan has broken up with her, she has nothing left.

Not even her stupid cell phone—she dropped it in the mall fountain. Now it only calls one number . . . hers. At age fourteen, three years ago!

Once Devi gets over the shock—and convinces her younger self that she isn't some wacko—she realizes that she's been given an awesome gift. She can tell herself all the right things to do . . . because she's already done all the wrong ones! Who better to take advice from than your future self?

Except . . .what if getting what you think you want changes everything?

Fans of Sarah Mlynowski's Magic in Manhattan series will love this hilarious new novel with a high-concept premise .

Even the summary for this book is super awesome. It's just one of those funny, quirky, cute little books that you love to read on a typical summer night. It reminded me of Mandy Hubbard's writing a lot, and everyone who reads my blog knows that I love her style and her books. Mlynowski sent me on a journey that I was super into and managed to keep me interested throughout the whole book. I loved the main character, Devi. She was very funny and pretty much sounded like me, fretting over every little thing in life. I think it's really nice when you can relate to a book like that.
Sometimes I get annoyed when books switch characters, but technically it was the same person in each chapter, right? Yeah. My point is that it wasn't annoying, it was cool to compare young Devi to old Devi, who again, really reminded me of myself. The book was very well written with a laid back style that was just in the right mood for the book. I loved the smidge of romance in the book, it was pretty much awesome. The only thing that bothered me a little was how old Devi was really stubborn sometimes, but I guess it only made me want to read the book even more. I can't say that this book was anything special that blew me away, but it was a very fun read that I really enjoyed. So if your sitting around, waiting for a good book to read, I 'd say pick up this one, it's worth it!
