Uncommon Criminals

Oh boy. School starts in ONE DAY. So sad, right? Yeah. And I'd said before that I won't get on often once school starts, since its high school and I need to really get busy with homework and stuff, so I'd thought I'd get in a review. I still haven't finished Divergent so I don't know when I'll get that in, but here's Uncommon Criminals by Ally Carter.
Katarina Bishop has worn a lot of labels in her short life life. Friend. Niece. Daughter. Thief. But for the last two months she’s simply been known as the girl who ran the crew that robbed the greatest museum in the world. That’s why Kat isn’t surprised when she’s asked to steal the infamous Cleopatra Emerald so it can be returned to its rightful owners.

There are only three problems. First, the gem hasn’t been seen in public in thirty years. Second, since the fall of the Egyptian empire and the suicide of Cleopatra, no one who holds the emerald keeps it for long, and in Kat’s world, history almost always repeats itself. But it’s the third problem that makes Kat’s crew the most nervous and that is simply… the emerald is cursed.

Kat might be in way over her head, but she’s not going down without a fight. After all she has her best friend—the gorgeous Hale—and the rest of her crew with her as they chase the Cleopatra around the globe, dodging curses, realizing that the same tricks and cons her family has used for centuries are useless this time.

Which means, this time, Katarina Bishop is making up her own rules.

I really loved the Gallagher Girls series, and I liked Heist Society, but for some reason, it took me forever to finish it. It was good, don't get me wrong, but I don't know why it took me so long. Maybe because the beginning was a little slow, I don't know. But other than that, I think it was pretty good. Not to mention awesomely clever, I mean, it's like Ally Carter is a thief GENIUS! Lol. Yeah, it was pretty amazing, especially the ending. Like, that was brilliant! You should read it to find out what I'm talking about. Anyways, Kat was smart and brilliant like before, but sometimes her decisions annoyed me. I guess I wanted her to be a little nicer to Hale. Other than that, she was awesome. The book got really good as it went and it kind of reminded me of like a teen version of Ocean's Eleven or something. The plot of the book was brilliant and it was really clever, like I didn't see any of it coming. Overall, I liked it, just not as much as the first one. But still, you have to read it. Sorry for the short review, I guess that's all I have to say. Just go and read it!
This book deserves...
FOUR STARS!!!
